Nearly twenty-five thousand households in southeastern Queensland woke up lacking electricity on Monday morning after powerful weather events swept through the state, bringing wind gusts topping 109km/h.
Substantial Frozen Precipitation and Broad Impact
Locals reported giant hailstones as large as seven centimeters in particular locations. Meteorological experts verified that various areas across Queensland had been affected by significant hail.

Rescue organizations received over five hundred requests for assistance across the state, mostly for property damage but also for collapsed vegetation and inundation.
